A-level Standard Entry Requirements

Additional requirements: A-Levels Chemistry and Biology (third Science A-level recommended). GCSE English at Grade B or 5. Practical experience. Interview.
IB Standard Entry Requirements

Additional requirements: HL subjects Chemistry and Biology. SL English and Physics or Mathematics at 6. Practical experience. Interview.
Royal Veterinary College
Biology at grade A; Chemistry at grade A; A third subject
of your choice at grade A (excluding General Studies). We also require a 'pass' in the science practical for each subject,
where taking the English curriculum. A* grades are not required and predictions for A* will not give advantage at selection or offer
stage over applicants predicted A. There is no third subject which is preferred by selectors or gives any special advantage
in the selection process. Science and non-science subjects are treated equally for the third subject. Contextual
Offers: Offers of ABB (with an A in Biology or Chemistry) will be made to those meeting certain Widening Participation (WP) criteria.
No separate application is required but care leavers should submit proof from the relevant local authority once they have applied.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an assessment half-day; have the opportunity to find out more about studying veterinary medicine in Edinburgh and undergo a series of short interviews

Work Experience
Applicants required to have completed 5 days of any type of animal or veterinary-related work experience
Applicants advised to obtain work experience with at least two of small, equine or farm animals
2021 entry:
Accept completion of Virtual Work Experience MOOC in place of requirement for 5 days hands-on work experience
University of Nottingham
AAB
Must include Chemistry and Biology at grade A
5 GCSEs at grade 7/A, including Biology and Chemistry and either Physics or Maths; GCSE grade 6/B in English Language and Mathematics
Work Experience
Minimum of 4 weeks animal handing work experience, covering a broad range of animals (including time spent on equine, lambing, diary and small animal husbandry work)
Can be done over varying hours and days, but must be completed by application deadline
Experience with own pets and on family farms will not be taken into consideration
